Domestic Water & Sewerage Charges

The tables contained in the link below are an attempt to illustrate the estimated domestic water and sewerage charges for properties at various capital values. These figures are estimates and are based on the best available information on future cost levels but, in the nature of things, are subject to variation.

The tables provide details of the likely level of bills if the future charges were to be introduced in year 1. The table also includes an illustration of the charges that would apply under the low income protection scheme.

Household charges will be comprised of 2 elements: (a) a charge for the supply of drinking water, and (b) a charge for the treatment of waste water. The charges only apply where a property is connected to the public water supply and sewerage network respectively.

It is proposed that charges will be phased in over a three year period with the bills for households in the first year being one third the estimated level.
